In my preparation for mommyhood, I want to make sure I have the necessities before baby arrives. I plan to breastfeed for as long as feasible and then transition to pumping after my maternity leave (or at whatever point it may become necessary to transition). So, I wanted to look into breast pumps early given that there are so many different options. Thanks to the Obama Administration, breast pumps are free for expecting moms under insurance. Now of course, that is amazing! The only downfall is having to deal with insurance companies, even for covered items. Over the course of my pregnancy, I’d seen several ads on popular pregnancy sites for Aeroflow. Their claim was “Get your pump through insurance in three simple steps.” See the image below from their website:
One of the fun (yet sometimes a little overwhelming) aspects of pregnancy is creating your baby registry. These days we have tons of options for where we can register or you can create a universal registry that allows you to add from various stores. There are several stores and websites that now offer free goodie bags of samples when you create your baby registry with them. A major retailer that I used for my registry is one of my faves, Target. Here I’ll be sharing the baby and pregnancy related samples I received in case you're a curious mom-to-be. Let’s get into it!
If you follow me on Instagram (@OrganicallyHer), then you may have seen that I am expecting! This is our first child and my husband and I are pretty excited to start a family. From the beginning of my pregnancy I started to feel different. Of course I had a general idea of what to expect, but feeling it is another thing. I’ll be sharing the main symptoms I experienced and what served as my personal survival kit for getting through those first few months!

To help me get through the ups and downs of the first trimester, I found what staples helped me the most. I call these items my First Trimester Survival Kit. I’ll list below what they items were, how they helped and where you can find them if interested!
